The heart of the Woven Graffiti piece begins with its most important ingredient: The Saree fabric. The Vibrant remnants we used came from the hands of the saree tailors and dressmakers in Pasar Kajang, who have been crafting traditional attire for the Kajang community for nearly three decades.
More than just fabric, these offcuts carry the weight of tradition, the pulse of festivals, and the whispers of countless celebrations. Over the years, the tailor has watched fashion evolve. Silks have given way to chiffons, colors shift with trends, and patterns reflect changing tastes, yet the saree remains a timeless thread in the tapestry of the community's identity.
