Woven Mattness reimagine the traditional Malay mengkuang mat as a contemporary, site-specific installation. This work celebrates the act of weaving as both craft and cultural expression - a tactile connection to our Malaysian roots, while situating it within the urban heart of Kuala Lumpur.
Through scale, form, and materiality, the installation bridges tradition and modernity, inviting viewers to experience the familiar in a renewed, immersive way.
